Program Details

The Rec Center and the Center for Student Wellbeing have partnered together to offer this wellness program. Katherine Drotos Cuthbert, Student Wellbeing Coordinator, will present “Wellbeing and Self-Care”. The Rec Center’s nutrition and fitness professionals will provide hands on experiences to provide you with a well-rounded approach to wellbeing.

Come join us to learn self-care strategies for more energy, better sleep, feeling stronger, managing stress and being the best you. This workshop will include discussion on the world’s healthiest and longest living societies called the Blue Zones, a hands-on cooking demonstration and an active yoga class.

Date: Wed., November 6
Time: 6:00 - 8:00 PM
Location: Rec Center Teaching Kitchen

You will Learn
  • Use the research and self-care strategies from the Blue Zones to create an action plan to implement healthier practices into your daily life
  • Sample and easy to make Blue Zone recipe trhough a hands-on cooking demonstration
  • Be active and relieve stress through participation in a yog aclass
